 A GLOBAL LINK (AGL) is a north Texas based partnership established in 2005, to focus its business objectives on Language Services.    It had operated as Baro and Associates since 1992, providing Business Consulting as well as Language Services.

OUR FOUNDER:

Lyda M. Baro was Federally Certified as a Spanish Court Interpreter by the Director of the Administrative Office of the United States Courts.  (In 2012 she was one of the 903 Federally Certified, Spanish  Court Interpreters in the US)  She is also a Master Licensed Court Interpreter in the State of Texas and a bilingual Mediator for the Dallas County Juvenile Department.

Her experience as a Conference Interpreter expands from televised political debates to international business conferences.   She has served as the interpreter for several United States and Mexican Presidents as well many other foreign dignitaries.   

As an ex-pharmaceutical representative, Lyda Baro expanded her medical training to become a Medical Interpreter after completing the Bridging the Gap (BTG) Medical Interpreter Training Program.  The BTG curriculum was developed by the US Department of Health in conjunction with the Cross Cultural Health Care Program.   She later became an Authorized Trainer on the BTG curriculum after completing its Train the Trainer Program.

OUR FOUNDER:

Robert A. Baro has worked as an International Business Consultant and as VP of Sales and Marketing for fortune 500 pharmaceutical and medical equipment companies. With extensive knowledge of industry specific terminology and a true understanding of culturally appropriate translations and interpretations, he has successfully bridged multi-cultural and linguistic gaps in order to expand business ventures across international borders.

His general business experience and in-depth knowledge of insurance and employee benefits programs enables him to manage and interpret  in a wide range of medical and general business settings.   

His experience as a Conference Interpreter is focused on General business, medical, pharmaceutical and international sales and marketing conferences.   He served as one of the interpreters for President Obama’s America Speaks Conference.
